Intervention planning: An ADHD assessment provides valuable information about the individual's specific symptoms, impairments, and associated difficulties. A proper diagnosis is important for understanding the individual's challenges, providing appropriate interventions, and accessing support services. An assessment by a psychologist with training in assessment of ADHD can help determine whether an individual meets the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria for ADHD. 11 hours of clinician time (inclusive of written report)ĪDHD is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterised by persistent patterns of inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity that significantly impact daily functioning.Report Writing Time: 5 Hours (due to scoring and interpretation).Please note there is a two to three week turn around for repot writing. ![]() Session 4: Feedback session and report discussion (1 Hour)Ī written report is provided as part of the package.The auditory component of this assessment assesses auditory processing and attention-related problems by indexing the respondent's performance in areas of inattentiveness, impulsivity, sustained attention, auditory laterality and auditory mobility. A task-orientated computerised system to visually assess attention-related problems by indexing the respondent’s performance in four areas: attentiveness, impulsivity, sustained attention and vigilance. Session 3: Computerised Test (1 hour) - This task involves assessment of visual and auitory attention.Session 2: Cognitive Assessment with Adult – WAIS-IV (2 Hours).(It is important all questionnaires are completed prior to your first appointment). Rating scales and relevant questionnaire will be sent prior to the session or completed within the session. Session 1: Intake session (2 Hour) including a clinical interview to obtain background information and review of the DSM-5 ADHD criteria.Reviewing past and present functional capacity such as daily living skills, work history and achievement, and relationship formation and maintenance of social relationships.Reviewing and assessing for other psychological conditions may contribute to or mimic the symptoms of ADHD such as depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, learning difficulties and personality disorders.Ĝompletion of standardised rating scales, as well as having those familiar with the adult such as parents or family members, partner, teachers, and/or employers.Review of learning and school performance, including cognitive ability and capacity to learn, academic achievement, behaviour at school, as well as attendance.Review family history and current family interactions, relationships and attachment.Review of personal history, including childhood symptoms, development and progress such as attainment of developmental milestones, language ability, evidence of inattentive, hyperactive, impulsive behaviour and emotional regulation challenges.Our ADHD Interview for adults examines and establishes the severity, duration and frequency of the symptoms Symptom must contribute to impairment across multiple settings such as home, school/learning, work, and/or community.Symptoms must persist for longer than 6 months.Symptom must be present before the age of 12 years.Symptoms need to be excessive for the developmental age of the individual.Please note that this assessment does not guarantee a diagnosis of ADHD. The assessment provides an understanding of cognitive strengths and weaknesses, as well as provides recommendations for support for personal understanding, workplace support and psychological support. This assessment also involves assessment of visual and auitory attention. This is a diagnostic assessment for Adult ADHD, including an assessment of general intellectual ability and a review of executive functions. The Adult ADHD Assessment is recommended if you are experiencing difficulties with concentration, inattention, impulsivity and/or hyperactivity. (Based on 11 hours of assessment time based on assessment Fees) This package is available for adults 16 years and over.
